This photo was taken by my daughter when she was 14 years old. In 2001 it won first place in a photography contest.
When this same daughter was about three years old we were driving through town during the Christmas season one afternoon and she suddenly exclaimed, “Mama! I think the colors of Christmas must be red and green!”
Smart little girl there.
I don’t know where the traditional colors of Christmas came from, but this month let’s think of red and green as symbols of Christ’s love, (red) and everlasting life, (green) daily reminders of St. John 3:16.
