Holy Fire

Holy Fire burns but does not destroy. Instead, it protects.

Exodus 3:2-6; Moses saw a bush on fire but it wasn’t consuming it. He walked over to investigate and the Voice of God spoke to him and said, “Do not come any nearer. Take off your shoes for you are standing on Holy Ground. I am the God of your fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.”

And Moses hid his face from the burning bush because he was afraid to look upon God.

Daniel 3:22-27;Three young Hebrew men were thrown into a furnace of fire for standing up for the Almighty God. The fire had been stoked to extreme temperatures and was so hot the men who threw them in we’re killed from the heat of it. But to everyone’s astonishment the three Hebrews were walking around inside the furnace and talking with Someone else Who had joined them in that terrible fire. Miraculously, it did not consume any of them.

When the king, who had ordered their executions by fire, saw what was happening inside the fiery furnace, he exclaimed, “Did we not throw three men into the fire? But look! There are four men walking around in there and the fourth Man looks like the Son of God!”

The king ordered the Hebrew men to come out of the furnace and when they did, everyone marveled that they were completely unhurt. Not even their clothes or hair were singed and there was no smell of fire on them!

Acts 2:2-4; Small tongues of fire sat on top of each believer’s head when the Holy Ghost first descended to fill their hearts. It was just as John the Baptist had said it would be, “I baptize you with water, but One (Jesus Christ) is coming after me, and He will baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire. ” (Matthew 3:11)
