Would lightening strike you down if you burned a copy of The Holy Bible?

Would God’s people kill you?

Is the book actually holy?

The answers are no, and no, and no.

1. Irreverence for God seldom results in immediate judgment. God shows mercy long after we no longer deserve it, and His invitation to turn to Him is very long.

However, don’t assume on God’s mercy because something dark happens immediately upon taking God and His Word lightly. It clouds our spiritual eyes and causes us to make mistakes, sometimes irreversible mistakes. When God’s Word and will are ignored over and over again, it leads to certain spiritual deadness.

2. God’s people are of the same mind as He is. The fruit, or behavior, of His followers are among the most loving and kindhearted in the world.

3. The actual books that we call The Holy Bible, are not sacred or holy in themselves, and should not be regarded as such, but its message is absolutely holy and 100% the Word of God Almighty! It should be obeyed and reverenced in every thought and motive.

Do not worship the Holy Bible; worship the Author of it, Whose Spirit inspired many godly writers to put His holy Words down in manmade ink and paper.
