Miriam, Deborah, Hannah, Mar

Miriam, Deborah, Hannah, Mary… all Bible women who lived beautifully.
Miriam’s Song

Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; he has hurled both horse and rider into the sea.”

…..Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; he has hurled both horse and rider into the sea….”

……Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; he has hurled both horse and rider into the sea…..”

‭‭Exodus‬ ‭15:21‬ NLT

Deborah’s Song

“ LORD, when you set out from Seir and marched across the fields of Edom,

the earth trembled,

and the cloudy skies poured down rain.

The mountains quaked in the presence of the LORD.

When Israel chose new gods, war erupted at the city gates.

Yet not a shield or spear could be seen among forty thousand warriors in Israel!

Praise the LORD!

LORD, may all your enemies die like Sisera!

But may those who love you rise like the sun in all its power!”

‭‭Judges‬ ‭5:1-31‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Hannah’s Prayer
“My heart rejoices in the LORD! The LORD has made me strong.

No one is holy like the LORD! There is no one besides you; there is no Rock like our God.

The childless woman now has seven children, and the woman with many children wastes away.

He will protect his faithful ones, but the wicked will disappear in darkness.

No one will succeed by strength alone. Those who fight against the LORD will be shattered.

He thunders against them from heaven; the LORD judges throughout the earth.

He gives power to his king; he increases the strength of his anointed one.””

‭‭1 Samuel‬ ‭2:1-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Mary’s Song

“Oh, how my soul praises the Lord.

How my spirit rejoices in God my Savior!

For the Mighty One is holy, and he has done great things for me.

He shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear him.

He has brought down princes from their thrones and exalted the humble.

He has filled the hungry with good things and sent the rich away with empty hands.

For he made this promise to our ancestors, to Abraham and his children forever.””

‭‭Luke‬ ‭1:46-55‬ ‭NLT‬‬
These are only excerpts of these women’s songs and prayer. You can find them in their entirety at their references. This post was another page taken from my old spiral-bound journal.

My take-away from reading these women’s songs and prayers is to emulate their praise of God at all times.

At all times.

All times.
